Size & Fit Guide

A beautiful sun hat should feel secure, comfortable, and flattering. Use this guide to help choose and wear your Marisenne hat.
How to Measure Your Head
- Use a soft measuring tape.
- Wrap it around your head where the hat will naturally sit: above your eyebrows, above your ears, and around the fullest part of the back of your head.
- Keep the tape snug but not tight.
- Measure in centimeters or inches and compare with the product page details.
Fit Feel
A sun hat should feel secure enough to stay in place, but not so tight that it leaves pressure marks. If you are between sizes, a slightly roomier fit is often more comfortable for warm weather.
Brim Shape and Face Framing
A wider brim gives more shade and a stronger statement. A softer or more relaxed brim feels casual and easy. A structured brim can look more polished and may hold its shape more clearly.
Choosing by Use
- For travel: look for comfort, easy styling, and a shape that works with several outfits.
- For beach or resort wear: choose more shade and breathable texture.
- For everyday errands: choose a balanced brim that feels easy to wear often.
Adjusting the Fit
If your hat includes an internal adjuster or band, use it to fine-tune the fit. Avoid pulling or overstretching the hat, as this can affect shape and comfort.
Storage and Shape
Store your hat on a flat surface or supported crown-side down, depending on the style. Avoid placing heavy items on top of it. For travel, pack around the crown with soft clothing and avoid crushing the brim for long periods.
